Born and raised in the Ebenezer hotel neighborhood in Sunyani, I always had encounters and special moments with you whenever you visited Sunyani, away from your usual abode. There was one thing I was always looking forward to seeing after Sunday morning mass, when my father had brought us to Ebenezer hotel for a visit; one thing that stood out was your smile which I can never forget, that picture perfect smile. Your sense of humor coupled with that teasing laugh was one I always expected and you delivered 10/10 minus nothing. I believe I was your number one fan because the gestures were positive and there was no doubt in my conscience how real you are. Atta K was the nick name u gave me and everyone started calling me that in the family. Though we didn’t meet a lot of times in our long distant relationship, all our reunions were something I always looked forward to. My father respected you a lot because he saw true leadership in you and the countless times my father told me of how supportive you have been in his life. You called me your boyfriend most of the time, our relationship got steep along the way because I fell in life sometime back and the narrative was very negative which made you lose respect for me which in turn made me lose that smile and laughter and nice gestures from you but I now know it was all tough love. I’m glad we were able to resolve our conflicts/differences before your demise. I came to the hospital with my dad to visit you when you were in your sick bed but unfortunately, I couldn’t see you due to hospital visitation rules and the next thing I heard you are gone. Oh life is short. The news rocked me because it was sudden. We had just closed from Monday morning mass and my father had a call and broke the news to us including my mom and auntie. my auntie burst into tears . It was a very sad moment for me. Anyway I know you are in heaven, I know God needs you in heaven to continue your hardwork so he called you. Heaven has gained something valuable. I know you are in a good and even better place. Until we meet again, adios! Salute to your consistent service to mother Ghana and having the passion to see a better Ghana. Rest well Auntie C. You know the love is deep .
