CeCilia Akua Funeral Brochure

Cecilia Gyimah was part of the third batch of girls enrolled in the Yaa Asantewaa Girls Secondary School of the Ghana Education Trust (GET) School in Kumasi from 1961to 1966 Academic Years. Cecilia was a very quiet and determined student. She was a pretty girl who stood tall over most of us, her classmates. Academically, she was very brilliant. Socially, she got on well with most of her mates and some senior girls as well. She was very good in sports and was an excellent defender for the school netball team. She also represented the school in field events during InterColleges Athletic competitions in the Ashanti Region. At the end of our 5-year secondary education, she came out with flying colours. We were not surprised that she gained admission into the Sixth Form in Achimota Secondary School fromwhere she entered the University of Ghana in the 1968/69 Academic Year. Most of us were separated from each other but Cecilia kept in touch with us especially during her work as a Gender Advocate. We are mourning a good friend and colleague. Farewell, Cecilia.
